Samoa Birthday Cake

It's my friends birthday next week and since she only had off this weekend we celebrated it early. She requested a girl scout cookie Samoa cake. I found a few recipes online but decided to just used the frosting recipe and make my brownie chocolate cake instead.
I also tried making caramel from condensed milk, after the first one failed the second can came perfect!

This cake was sooo good lol I will definitely have to make this again.

The chocolate part came out a little messy but it still tasted great lol

Julep Nail Polish Box Giveaway and Review

I am a total nail polish addict! I was soo excited when I got a chance to review Juleps monthly box and to offer all my readers a giveaway.

My favorite thing about Julep box is that its strictly nail polish and pedicure and manicure related items. With all the other beauty boxes out there you never know what your going to get and you might not end up liking it. I like knowing what I'm getting lol.
I got my box really fast and was so excited to bust it open and use it.
I got to choose what collection it came from and of course i picked bombshell.

The color on the right is Eva I would describe as a deep raspberry I loved it . Pinks and reds are a big hit in my house. The color on the left is  Sienna its an antiqued silver gold color also glittery.
I'm sold on this brand , I really can't find one problem . It dries very quickly normally I sit around for 2 plus hours doing nothing afraid to mess up my nails . Eva is also highly pigmented so you can even just do one coat . Sienna is a 2 coat polish but it has a color within the glitter so you can just use it by itself. Also a big plus you don't need a clear topcoat!! Its super glossy which is amazing.

Here is what I did with them , excuse my messy job and bad photo i had to do these quickly also kudos to all of you who take great nail pictures its very hard to do good hand poses lol.
Also did I mention you get a cute reusable tote as well .
I'm normally to lazy for doing my toes as much as my nails but the pedi cream was so great , it made my feet feel so soft after just a few days.

Julep is offering an amazing deal just for my readers follow this link and enter code: MAVENINTRO, you will get your first month for only 1 penny!

Giveaway! Julep Is going to pick one winner to win a free box to try out as well similar to mine.

Cowboy cookies with a twist recipe

One of my favorite recipes are cowboy cookies I found on Martha Stewart a few years back. I decided to switch up the recipe a little bit and i absolutely love the turn out .
Instead of the regular chocolate chips i used white chocolate chips I splurged on the ghirardelli white chocolate chips and it made a world of difference. I also toasted the coconut lightly before mixing into the batter. This way it had more of a crunch to match the oatmeal's texture.

Preheat your oven to 350
I would recommend letting the eggs and butter come to room temp before starting.

You will need:

2 cups of all purpose flour
1 tsp of baking soda
1tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of baking powder
2 sticks of unsalted butter
3/4 cups of granulated white sugar
3/4 cups of light brown sugar
2 eggs
1tbsp of vanilla bean paste
1 1/2 cups of rolled oats
1 1/2 cups of white chocolate chips
1/2 cups of toasted coconut
3/4 cups of chopped pecans

In a large bowl beat butter and both sugars
add eggs one at a time and then add vanilla
In a small bowl combine flour ,salt, and baking powder and soda
beat in flour , in two parts will make it less messy
with a wooden spoon or other large spoon stir in by hand the oats, pecans, coconut and chocolate chips.

Scoop onto ungreased cookie sheets by spoon fulls
If you use large spoon fulls it should make 4 dozen cookies , 5 dozen if they are smaller
Bake for 15 min or till golden brown
Transfer to a cool rack and enjoy when cooled!

Cream City Ribbon Eco Friendly Review

Cream City Ribbon contacted me to see if i would like to review their ribbon, and as a lady with a large ribbon collection I was very excited to . Their ribbon is 100% percent cotton biodegradable and uses soy based ink.
They do custom printed ribbon for companies and small businesses as well.

Here is what i did with the ribbon i recieved

Here is my take on the ribbon
First off this ribbon is a crafters dream! This would be so great for card making or any other crafts you can dream of . It curls really well and holds its shape so if you prefer curling ribbon over fabric ribbon for gifts this would be great. My only negatives are its really stiff and paper like so i couldn't use it to tie up cookie bags, i prefer the satin ribbon for that its more flexable.
But overall if you want to go green for gifts and crafts its a great choice .
They come in lots of colors and prints . You can also get self adhesive which i would love to use for cards and letters that i send out .
To leave off I'll show you one of the fun projects on their websites gotta love owls!
